Fred Schebesta announced as keynote speaker headlining the Proptech Forum in Sydney on Thursday 13th October
Fred Schebesta, Co-Founder of Finder.com, has been announced as a keynote speaker headlining the Proptech Association Australia’s inaugural Proptech Forum, to be held in Sydney on Thursday, 13th October.
One of Australia’s most respected entrepreneurs, the best-selling author, cryptocurrency expert and international speaker will discuss “How To Create a Global Tech Business.”
The Proptech Forum is hosted by Australia’s peak body for proptech ventures, Proptech Association Australia (PTAA), and is a full-day live program on the topic of “Disrupting the Disruptors.”
PTAA founder and president Kylie Davis said Fred had a long and successful track record of business disruption globally, making him an ideal candidate to open the conference.
“Fred was just 26 years old when he entered the highly competitive comparison market, before expanding globally and revolutionising the comparison site into a fintech,” Kylie said.
In his presentation, Fred will look at the key stages of growing a proptech from an MVP into a self-sustaining global business, telling his story of Finder and how he learned to turn his weaknesses as a founder into his super power.
Finder is now Australia’s leading comparison website, and the group receives more than 10 million visits globally each month.
Fred joins a stellar speaker lineup including Sarah Bell from RiTA by AiRE, Nigel Dalton from Thoughtworks, Peter Schravemade from REACH, Mina Radhakrishnan from :Different, Pete Matthews from Realtair, Eleanor Creagh from PropTrack, Eliza Owen from CoreLogic, Chris Spanos from Domain and Melissa James from CSIRO.
Kylie Davis said the PTAA team had been working hard to deliver a unique conference to bring the proptech industry together, supporting collaboration, innovation and networking.
“This is a full-day event designed by proptechs, for proptechs, so we can unpack the big issues affecting the future of our industry,” she said.
“Our chosen theme of ‘Disrupting the Disruptors’ will examine the technology happening adjacent to the proptech sector and the market forces that are likely to start impacting us, new legislation on the horizon, and where collaboration can support our innovation growing faster, becoming stickier and more successful,” Kylie said.
In addition to the keynote speakers, fireside chats and panel discussions on the main stage, in the afternoon session between lunch and afternoon tea, there will be collaborative round table discussions on important topics and themes such as big data, cyber security, payments, API integrations, environmental sustainability and scaling.
“If you’ve ever wanted to meet the ‘who’s who’ of proptechs changing up Australia’s real estate industry, this is the place to be,” Kylie said.
The Proptech Forum will be held on Thursday, 13th October 2022 at the NSW Teachers’ Federation Conference Centre, Surry Hills, Sydney from 8.30am to 5pm.
Tickets are just $295 including GST for PTAA members or $395 for non members.
