Proptech Association Australia announces finalists in 2022 Proptech Awards
Proptech Association Australia has announced the finalists for the 2022 Proptech Awards, the only nationally coordinated awards for Australia’s booming property technology sector.
“We received 124 entries in total, a 31% increase on last year, and today we are announcing the finalists across 23 awards,” said Kylie Davis, Founder & President of Proptech Association Australia.
“It’s super exciting to celebrate these success stories in Australia’s proptech ecosystem and highlight the incredible innovation across the entire real estate value chain,” Ms Davis continued. “Building on the success of our inaugural awards in 2021, this year we launched two new segments – one for consumer-facing proptech and one for leadership.”
The entries were scored by a panel of more than 40 expert judges with expertise in property, finance, law, sales & marketing, technology, sustainability, innovation and entrepreneurship.
“I would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who entered, the judges and our sponsors,” said Ms Davis.
The trophy winners will be announced in-person at the awards ceremony on the evening of Wednesday 8 June at Dockside Cockle Bay in Sydney’s Darling Harbour precinct. Ticketing arrangements for the presentation evening will be announced separately.
The major sponsor of the Proptech Awards is Ashurst Lawyers.
Ashurst Corporate Partner, and Head of the Venture Capital and High Growth Team, Stuart Dullard said, “Ashurst is incredibly proud to be supporting the development of proptech through the sponsorship of these awards in partnership with Proptech Association Australia. The digitalisation of the property and construction markets continues and the maturing of the proptech ecosystem is attracting a lot of attention from entrepreneurs and investors.”
To facilitate scoring, the awards are organised around three categories to reflect different life stages – Established Suppliers, Scale-Ups and Start-Ups – in the following industry segments:
- Consumer Proptech
- Design, Build & Develop
- Efficiency & Optimisation
- Ownership, Affordability & Finance
- Property & Facilities Management
- Sales & Marketing, and
- Smart Buildings & Cities.
The panel of judges faced the difficult task of determining the short-list of finalists according to pre-set criteria and also judged the “Proptech Leader of the Year” award.
Within each category, there will also be a “Proptech of the Year” announced on the night, picked by distinguished industry experts from the individual award winners.
In addition to the scored awards, there are three in-kind prizes being offered by Envestnet | Yodlee for “Data Accelerator,” IdeaSpies for “Proptech to Watch,” and Proptech Association Australia for “Proptech for Good.”
